Functional Analysis and Quantum Physics: interplay, challenges, perspectives

The workshop is meant to gather together experts in various aspects of Functional Analysis, Operator Theory, Operator Algebras and, in general, researchers interested in the mathematical aspects of Quantum Physics. Theoretical aspects and applications to various areas of Science and Technology will be considered. Among others, the following topics will be covered:
– Operator theory
– Operator algebras
– Frames, wavelets, biorthonormal bases
– Time-frequency analysis
– Coherent and squeezed states
– Ladder operators
– Distributions and quantum mechanics
– Non self-adjoint Hamiltonians
The participation of young people working on these subjects is very welcome: they will have an occasion of meeting very experienced researchers and discuss with them new perspectives and possible developments.
